The Cold War International History Project features new evidence from Central and Eastern European archives of the Cold War in Asia. It also offers a CD-ROM on "Bulgaria and the Cold War." You can also learn about the George Washington University, NEH-supported collaboration to train high school teachers in recent advances in Cold War historiography. The CWIHP Bulletin contains recently released and translated documents from former Communist-world archives, along with brief introductions by leading Cold War historians and archivists.

Inspired by National Geographic's Widowmaker film, this online feature delves into the history of K-19, and the Cold War politics and mechanical malfunctions that led to a Russian nuclear submarine disaster in the summer of 1961.
